shame that Calamity Clegg doesn't resign

It would never occur to me to vote for them, but just from casual observation I do not see Cleggy as a Party Leader any more than I see Call-me Dave to be one.
I'm generally a Tory voter, but John Major had more charisma than
Call-me Dave.
This is a party in utter meltdown. When interviewed post-election, Clegg said 'now is not the time to change'.
So when is, Cleggy?
The Lib Dems are travelling headlong into political obscurity at warp speed, nothing less.
compo, cleggy and foggy, last of the summer whine.
I don't blame Cleggy one little bit.

After the 2010 TV debates, our knowledgeable electorate, saw a young looking face, new to main stream Politics promising a "brave New World" and guess what?

The electorate fell for it splitting the two major parties and bringing on the first peacetime Coalition..............don't blame Cleggy.
Is this resignation the first of the rats leaving the sinking ship?
Clegg mishandled the Coalition from day one by not retaining distance and party integrity whilst 'working together'.

The joint press conferences as 'Deputy PM' underlined their role as Junior Partners which is a Lose-Lose situation.

Floating Labour-Libdem voters will blame them for enabling rule by the hated Tories.

Floating Tory-Libdem voters will disregard any contribution they made to the government
do blame Clegg for wishy washy liberal ideals, none of which he has stuck to, changed his mind more times than one has hot dinners.
he is a useless leader, he was outsmarted, outgunned by Nigel Farage, he got his arse rightly kicked. He should resign, let someone else take up the cudgel, only don't let it be Vince Cable, the old codger should be put out to grass.

Has Clegg been to Bruxelles for his job interview on the Gravy train.
YMG...LOL....Kinnock did pretty well.

I wouldn't mind a go.
I don't think its important how many coups there are, as the Libdems are dead in the water.. This was obvious as soon as they agreed the pact with the Devil 4 years ago.

On another note, what happened to that LibDem Peer who was accused of sexual pestering last year ? I can't remember his name but he was just about to go to Court, and then it all went quiet.
Job interview!

why would he need an interview?
does it matter, and besides, won't Labour have to go into a pact with them, surely they are not going to get a majority victory come the general election.

//On 26 September 2013, the Metropolitan Police announced they had dropped the investigation as they had found "insufficient evidence//

Sounds about par for the course for the boys in blue.
Can he survive until the weekend, or are the vultures circling?

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/may/26/nick-clegg-and-lib-dems-face-battle-for-survival

Who would replace him? What age would Vince Cable be at the next election?
There is no problem with the leader the problem is with the "we know best" attitude of the whole party. All this week any lib dem interviewed said the same, we got a kicking but we stick to our guns and will continue to do so. Hello, Earth the Libdem central, they just don't accept that they got a kicking because the public disagree with their wishy washy snout up EU's arris attitude coupled with the arrogance that "we know best" and the public are wrong, maybe the public are wrong but they are the ones punching you in the face mate!. Don't fire the leader disband the whole sorry shower and start again.
That's the problem sandy, they don't appear to have anyone with charisma, appeal, gravitas, conviction nor fortitude.
Oh how they must wish for a Farage!
I suppose Chris Huhne is out of the question?
