Curiouser and curiouser.

This follows the news last week that one witness waived her right to anonimity. Apparently she had to do so because she had already sold her story Down Under.

..I'm presuming they're drawings... I can't see how he'd 'make' the images otherwise.

Yes, I suppose it could - but would a picture of a girl in a bathing suit be deemed indecent? What's indecent about that?

well, it was the daughter's friend who he, later, had an affair with. It all sounds a bit nudge-nudge, wink-wink to me.

He was charged with making indecent images of children. If she was one of them, who were the others?

the prosecution has finished, Naomi. If there were any, what we'd maybe call, indecent images, I think we'd have heard about them.

to be honest I haven't been following the case.

We have heard about them - as per my link - but not since the original charges were brought.

I know in other cases 'victims' have made claims that proved impossible to be true. Why did they get all the way to court when the most cursory of checks would have shown them up for what they were. It weakens the cases of any genuine victims. The police and prosecutors need to shape up, imo.

I know. I'm usually very wary of these historical claims. Young newly wealthy blokes full of their newly found fame, star-struck girls hounding them, different rules in different times - but when children enter the equation alarm bells ring. In the absence of the slightest complaint over the past however many years I'm willing to give most the benefit of the doubt - but this makes me really uncomfortable.

case law on which ever act it is, decided very early on....

L S Lowry DID do sketches of a little girl in fantasy

and left her the sketches - in his will as he knew how much his paintings were fetching

and when she turned 21 - she cried a bit - and SOLD them !
no question of the kid being abused - they were fastasy...- match stick girl in frilly knickers and so on

we lived in less censorious times then
