TCL, Here we have a woman convicted on terrorist related charges and who would probably happily see you dead - and you defend her 'right' to hide not only from the authorities, but from law-abiding society. I despair of some people .... I really do. Radical Islamists are laughing at people like you.

They are BRITISH.
So they are entitled to have passports. Whether they have purchased a passport is irrelevent, but if they have one, it will say they are British.

I am still looking for those posts of Gromits where he supports or defends these people. Is that one where he categorically condemns their actions?
And I am still waiting for someone to explain quite why Gromits observation regarding the deportation of British citizens is either feasible or legal? Just because you might find it desirable does not make it plausible to do so. Where would you deport them to?
As Mojo said on the very first page - they are british citizens, so a british problem and are being dealt with in a british way - by being jailed in a british prison. All sounds eminently fair and reasonable to me.

Well I can understand the desire, but I just cannot comprehend how it could be achieved. I mean, where would you deport them to? We used to be able to send them to the colonies, but that is not really a viable option today.
In the absence of that, sentencing him/them to jail time seems to be the proper response. I am just somewhat flabberghasted at these attacks on Gromit as being a terrorist sympathiser or supporter. Nothing in his posts has ever suggested that to me.

We give millions of £'s to Pakistan year on year. I'm sure they'd not complain if we tied in giving them one of our Muslims as part of the deal, a Muslim who had recently had his citizenship rescinded as a result of a conviction for breaking new laws implemented recently.

I don't see why it should count as a problem, or as something to criticise, to point out that the idea of deporting people to a country that they may have no connections to is just not going to happen. Nor is it clear to me that it makes things better. "Here, you have this riff-raff, and we picked your country because of some idea that you think the same way" -- how does that make anything better? More likely to just stir up yet more hatred.
People like this are vile, and it's sad and horrific that we have to put up with them. But put up we should... tolerance is worth it in the end.

@ Emmie You attack posters here, presumably, by claiming that they are "defending these people". Which individuals here do you see as apologists, and what is it exactly that you are accusing them of being apologists for?
Lets have a bit of clarity here ,rather than just a generalised grumbling that, just because someone points out some inconvenient fact of law or nationality or posits an alternative view that they are automatically apologists or anti-British.

Exactly! Surely the criticism is that they do not tolerate such things. So, intolerance is therefore the wrong attitude. So we should be tolerant... up to a point, of course. We should not tolerate crime, or terrorism, or violence, and such should be dealt with. Deporting people to another country that potentially they have no connection to is just not going to happen. I do not see that I, or anyone else, should be criticised for pointing that out.
