Ryanair Now Give You Seat Numbers??

Is this true? i cant imagine not scrambling for seats anymore.

Then I knew exactly how a trussed up oven ready chicken must feel, good job I did not fancy one of their over priced stale paninis because I would not have been able to get my hand up to my mouth I was squashed in so tight. Never,ever.ever,again, once was enough for me !
We flew to Portugal with Ryanair a fortnight ago, we were given seat numbers, which was so much easier than the usual fight to get on first,
the only really annoying thing was the idiots who got on at the front of the plane, when they had seats at the rear, then pushed their way through to the back, causing chaos
All the tickets gave the seat no, and instructions for which set of steps to board by depending on the seat no.

We have flown with the loads of times, and never had a problem. You can get some real bargains - especially if you look out for when the flights are available without taxes added on. They have always been on time, and providing you stick to the terms and conditions they are no worse than any other airline. The only thing I don't like about them is the fact that they are trying to sell you something from the minute you get on to the minute you get off. We take our own butties and find that a polite No Thank You does the trick!
I can't speak highly enough of Ryanair.
Know their rules and use them accordingly, you can't travel short haul to Europe for cheaper.
Yes, they do now allocate seats, and they have relaxed the rules on what you can carry on, a handbag, for example, no longer has to go hidden inside your cabin bag, and when I travelled from Limoges to East Midlands a couple of weeks ago I didn't have my bag weighed, nor was it measured in the 'cage'.
For me, long live Ryanair!

We recently travelled with Ryanair over easter. We are a family of 4 and experienced a few frustrating issues in respect to seating. You have 2 options.
1) purchase designated seating to ensure you are sat together and are able to check in from 30 days before you Fly (Another expense)
2) Wait to be assigned seats by ryanair 7 days before you fly leaving you with the issue of sitting anywhere and apart on the plane and being unable to check in until 7 days before your flight. Well that seems fine going out, but means you cant check in for your return unless you locate an internet cafe. Our holiday villa is miles from anywhere. I did however notice that others were having a similar issue with this new 7 day policy and where using Checkinpal.com to take care of their online check in and boarding cards. Tried this option and it worked out saving us a fortune. added a link above which I thought may be helpful for anyone in a similar situation
