Pervasive question -
remember in the Roman Dutch legal system ( main country doing it ? yup South Africa ) there is no jury but a judge ( the black lady in the robes in the centre ) and two lay asessors ( the ones on each side )

so there is less jury granstanding than there is in a jury trial
Simpson insisted he had no knowledge of the crime and was not present.
Pistorious insists that he made a tragic mistake.

Two very different scenarios.
also, a key piece of evidence in the OJ trial - the glove - turned out not to fit him.
I thought TTT meant he'll get off, like OJ did.
you mean half way thro the trial

we're gonna be told that the legs that pistorius was wearing and are covered in blood - do in fact belong to mrs mopp down the road

I always remember what was in the paper at the start of the OJ trial. It said: There are only 2 things you need to know about this trial. One is that he did it and the other is that he is going to get away with it.
"If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit"

"If the bathroom wasn't on the lock, then Pistorius out of the dock."

In this case though, the "excuse" has weak points that it's difficult to believe it's the truth. He thought he was shooting a burglar through the toilet door? Why did he not just call the police and wait for them to deal with it firing from outside if the burglar tried to escape? Sounds like a load of pony to me, from what I know of the case so far he looks BTR to me.
You'd think the first thing you'd do is check the person who was suppose to be sleeping beside you.
just so ummmm... "other half of the bed is empty"+"somebody's in the bathroom" - which happens often enough - doesn't exactly say "burglar" to me.
Did OJ have a trial by jury, I can't remember? Rather than just a judge is what I'm getting at.
Agree the story doesn't make sense, but without witnesses and with the crime scene handled so badly I think he will get away with it.

Why would you cry and pray over her but not try to revive her?
Yes Simpson was by Jury.
Why did she lock bathroom door if. She was only having a wee in the middle of the night when there was only the 2 of them there.? We don't even shut ours as the other person is asleep & you're only in there for a minute.
Hi there: In this country there's great belief by the masses (55 mill and counting versus 4 mill whites) in looking up to someone even though they've committed proven crimes – take our prime minister, Mr Zuma, for instance. In the case of Pistorius he has loads of money and he can afford lots of defence – the lad won't be found guilty, you can be sure of that due to the above reasoning. Hell, we don't have a police force anymore, less an army, what there is of it is busy protecting SA government ministers' personal fortunes in CAR ... please don't stop me when I'm on my soapbox!!
He still committed murder irrespective of who was in the bathroom! He said he thought it was a burglar but he still fired, why didn't he shout out I am going to shoot, and where did he think Reeva was!
To be precise, the jury consisted of 8 blacks, 2 Hispanics, 1 half-Caucasian, half Native American, and 1 Caucasian female.
Just because you don't rainy doesn't mean others are the same, especially in a newish relationship. If anyone is around I lock the door.
