in view of the likelihood of unrest, should the Home Secretary not have stepped in and banned Mark Duggan's virgil set to take place today outside Tottenham police station?

I just cannot comprehend why the death of a lowlife drug dealer is worthy of all this attention.
"I think you will find that they can. "

The example you gave was a poor one AOG. That was a march, this is vigil, now i know im thick, but there is a marked difference between the two.
exactly TTT

i'm sure you dont get on the most wanted list, no 49 or whatever it was, for being angel or totally by mistake

And how are they to get there, are they being dropped by parachute?
It is indeed easy. Yours was mentioned because the mistake resulted in a recognisbale name.
If you had typed Vigl, I doubt it would have been remarked upon.

But you don't need the likes of me to point that out to you......
Recognisable too..........see, easy!
if you go out on the streets with a gun there is a high risk that the police will shoot you dead ..he took that gamble and lost...tough...
mrsmaverick i wanted to say that all week, you wanna be a gangsta and carry a gun that's what you get!!
I've no idea AOG, and more to the point, neither have you.
Are you thinking then, AOG, that they will all meet at point A and march to point B for the vigil?

Or would people make their own way to point B? The latter seems more likely...

Yes, and see how one has to be continuously vigil, when one chooses to point out other's mistakes.
Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't mourn his death, but his family have the right to do so.

If this is the way they want to do it, and hopefully it'll be peaceful ,then let 'em fill their boots.
too right bernie any law abiding citizen will think the same as us....

/// Are you thinking then, AOG, that they will all meet at point A and march to point B for the vigil? ///

Who knows, and what constitutes a march, will some carry placards?

Perhaps some will meet in a pub, and march/walk to the police station

/// Or would people make their own way to point B? The latter seems more likely...///

Well it is obvious that either walking or marching, they will make their own way there, how else?
Yes, and see how one has to be continuously vigil, when one chooses to point out other's mistakes.
---------------------
Tut tut, surely you mean vigilant, AOG?
Must be galling to have that pointed out to you by the likes of me?
Separately or unorganized. They know there's a vigil so people leave their homes and make their way there.

/// Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't mourn his death, but his family have the right to do so. ///

There most certainly do, I and many others would have nothing against that.

/// If this is the way they want to do it, and hopefully it'll be peaceful ,then let 'em fill their boots. ///

This is the problem, the way they have chosen to do it outside a police station, will the police be safe entering or exiting their place of work while this is taking place outside?

And your own hope that it will be peaceful, can we take that chance?

Hook line and sinker.

Surely that was too obvious, even to you?
Presumably the vigil is outside a police station because that is where he spent most of his time.
