Ah the straw man argument - an old favorite

Pretend your opponents have a certain view and show it to be false

In this case that only white people can be racist

Come on you can do better than that
It certainly can be true, although more likely it's just a footballer being stupid, showing support for his friend by copying the thing he's being criticised for.

Mmmm it didn't take long to force a reaction from you out of this.
Looks like a miss guided tribute to his miss guided 'comedian' friend.

That was aimed at JTP.

Don't you just love the sound of a barrels bottom being scraped in the morning?
Who is barrels and is their bottom very dirty?
plenty of others don't think what he did was right, various links to other sites, papers bear this out. However can't see how it's linked to the Nazi's, but i stand corrected if someone provides evidence to the contrary.
I had never heard that anti-Semitic gesture before.

But, if it was commonly known and is certainly recognised and banned in France! as I understand it is , then he should be severely dealt with......perhaps a 10 match ban.
Is he attempting a smile as well ,shock horror
And your response is?

Do you actually think anyone here is so silly as to think only white people can be
racist?

Have you ever seen anyone on here claim that?
what do they do about the comedian who does it, can't ban him from the footie, will the French do anything?
looks like he is a convert to Islam, if Jewish people or others were offended, then he should at least apologise.
Black people can be racist. Women can be sexist. Odd that you, a war veteran have reached your mid 80s and do not know that.

In this case however, it would seem the footballer is not being racist or anti semitic, but rather making a stand for free speech. An anti establishment comedian signs off his stage shows with an arm gesture. The people he targets in the establishment have called it a reverse nazi salute, whatever that might be. So they are trying to ban his shows on that very weak premice. People against the ban have been copying the gesture in support of freedom of speech and the right of this comedian to make anti extablishment jokes. There motive is not racist or anti semitic.

That is probably far too complicated for the average Daily Mail reader to understand, but there you have it.
some Jewish people seem to feel differently...
so you are Brain of Britain, sweeping statements like yours make me want to kick the cat, of course i wouldn't, i don't have one.

What are you trying to start up here, if it is what I think it is perhaps you would care to start up a thread on that subject?

GROMIT, why do say he is a war veteren? He was in the RAF in the mid fifties so he was alive during WWII but that does not mean he fought in that war or any other one for that matter. I am sure that with his being a stickler for the truth, he would not want folk to have a false impression of him.
