I'm glad we went to Birmingham two weeks ago, then!
i went there once, can't say i would go again..
em, it's a great city, I lived there for 17 years. I'd go back anytime.
i live in a great city, really don't want to find another, unless it's somewhere that is warm all year round, has a decent beach with sand not shingle nearby and a bloke serving me drinks with little umbrellas sticking out,
//a bloke serving me drinks with little umbrellas sticking out, //

Is that a euphemism? :-)
i don't need to use euphemisms i would say dick if that is what i meant.
a drink with an umbrella, nice cocktail on a warm day, or a pimms, lovely
Pimms, now - but I've never seen the point of the umbrellas?
long time since i had one of these. Perhaps if they serve them to the EDL and any of the other numpties turning up, they might forget their differences have a few and then go home.

UPDATE: it's kicking off.....
(from BBC live)
EDL demo
1354: Bottles and cans are being thrown towards police lines on Broad Street, officers are in riot gear and holding the line.

that is from the BBC life feed

West Midlands Police tweets: A total of 33 arrests so far in the city centre this afternoon. Majority are public order and breach of the peace offences.
EDL demo

Usual suspects !

I wonder if the EDL's Cultural and Education spokesman is attending ::

( I make no apologies for posting this again )
couldn't you at least post from today's rally, after all there must be some others from UAF who have just as stupid remarks..
I will try to find some em. In the mean time, here's something to be going on with :: :::

so you hate them, what's new... however i have seen the aftermath of the UAF and the anarchists on our street, who use each group for their own agendas, stirring up hatred, as someone else pointed out, no one comes out of this blameless.
I'm sure that you are correct em. But the anti-fascist groups probably wouldn't exist if we didn't have these idiots on the BNP and the EDL.
Does anyone know what these people think violence against the police will achieve? Stupid sods!
some would be against anything they could stick the boot into, capitalism, poll tax, student fees, you name it, anything for the thrill of a face off with the police. I expect some are bored youths with well off, wealthy parents, who are trying to make their mark, trouble is they will stick their beaks into what are usually peaceful rallies, which is often why they go pear shaped.
