Thank you , emeritus.
I hope I will be able to see it...a bit overcast here at the moment.
:-))
Thank you emeritus. It was pretty impressive last night. I don't think we will get to see it tonight. Too much cloud here in Bedfordshire.

Yes same here Ladyalex.

Unfortunately, the forecast is cloudy tonight where I live.
It'll probably still be around tomorrow night, as I think the peak is actually daytime

I logged off of here about 0130 this morning and took dogs out for half hour, and it was quite impressive then, even with a bit of cloud about.
just don't get professor cox started on this.......

:-)

I just read an article about photographing this event. In case you're interested, use a tripod with the camera set at ISO 100-200,f11-f14, and 1/125-1/250sec. Unfortunately, where I am, there is going to be complete cloud cover. However, I might get lucky.
Thanks emeritus. I don't hold out much hope for clear skies here, but you never know ...
It was pretty stonking last night, and the cloud cover's clearing here
I like that, Gromit. Anyway, I just brought out my old 35mm SLR and gave it a d and c (dusting and cleaning). Now I'm going to the drug store to get some FujiFilm ISO 200 and hope that the weather clears up. I haven't used this camera in about ten years. Wish me luck...Cheers!
Damn clouds ! I love stuff like this and I am going to be cross if we don't get a glimpse. Thanks for the reminder.
you might want to go for something higher than 200, Stewey.
Unless you use a min of a 400mm lens it will look v small.
There are superclouds where I live. They're 14% bigger and 30% greyer than usual.
forgot to look,,,,, but it was pretty cloudy :(
