I read this morning that PM Dave and his family had gone on their holidays to Ibiza., At a time when there is terrorist alerts, tensions following the Woolwich murder and a COBRA alert which denotes an emergency.

Bad timing Mr Prime Minister . . .

But wait . . . everything will be fine, Nicky Clegg is running the country now!

nearly as bad as leaving John 2 jags in charge.
Baza, was Mr Prescott ever left in charge (to quote the questioner here) "at a time when there are terrorist alerts, tensions following the Woolwich murder and a COBRA alert which denotes an emergency"?
Unfortunate timing.

But Dave needs a break, he has been under a lot of stress lately.

Don't think Clegg is in charge. He might be away as well.

Clegg is often away - with the fairies!
// David Cameron "remains in charge" as he takes a week's holiday away from Britain, Downing Street said today.

Mr Cameron has been accompanied by a small team of key staff and is being kept up to date over developments in the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby. //
He's only in Ibiza!? Not exactly the other side of the world!
Ibiza isn't that far away. If he needed to return, I would think he could do so faster than from some parts of the UK.
And I am sure that it is past crisis point now that they have swept up the gang - and, yes, they will know if there is linkage to Paris or not.......

It's just shyte-stirring by the Press.
Anyway Angela Merkel and Boris are probably running the UK; both of them were at Wembley last night, so I wouldn't worry about the Insect.
I hope he goes into the bar in san antoinio where I got locked in the toilet and had to kick the bloody door down to get owt.
Not to worry - he's only two hours away - just a quick hop home if necessary. It would take him longer to get back from Southend in the rush hour!
All those three things amount to one thing, the Woolwich murders, for which he had a COBRA meeting. What are these 'tensions' that require the PM to be here and what terrorist alerts are there which are new?
Bad PR move for our PM to be away.
Margaret Thatcher, President Obama and Tony Blair would certainly have been photographed in Woolwich.

OK there would be very few Conservative votes in Woolwich, but he should have been seen, shaking hands and visiting the site.
Perish the thought that Cameron should copy Blair..............
Naomi, does Southend have a rush hour?
Well they will eventually clown each other
Clone I mean
Trying to get from Southend by car is a bitch especially during the summer the A127 is always blocked and always seems to have some sort of accident.

Also, what would he gain by being here that he cannot do on the phone or via the net?
Sorry friedgreen but the 127 is always open an rarely has a problem
Be kind to the man for once. After all, there he is, with Sam and the sproglets, having Pimms or Sangria with our honourable Spanish deputy Ed on her terrace.
