Obviously this cretin must have had a police record for them to have his DNA on file, it is through this that the police were able to trace him and bring this piece of pond life to justice.

I can't find any reference to him being an immigrant in the report. Did you get that info from another newspaper, or online somewhere?
Not saying you're wrong...it's just that I might have missed it (admittedly, I scanned the report in the link twice, but pretty quickly...).

If some 'future Government' did get in power, they could make it compulsory for our DNA to be collected for their records anyway, so they could still use it against us.
As regards the rest well it seems that all records are 'unsafe' so why bother keeping them?

This has nothing to do with the loss of liberty, even "when we were fighting hard for liberty" as you put it, we still all had to carry ID.
We still have to be 'registered' at birth.
We still have to have a NI number
Also if one drives a car, wishes to travel to another country, be eligible to vote, we all need to go down on some form of a data base, and then are we not compelled to fill in a census form?
