Smokey saxo at startup

I have a 1998 saxo x 1.1. Now and again when i start it up i get a puff of grey smoke out the back. And then after that its perfectly fine and runs fine. Should i be expecting a hefty bill soon or is it nothing to worry about.

When I had the problem on my Vauxhall, it was seals on the valve stems. Had them replaced, no further trouble.

Is it pricey or a fairly cheap job?
