Possibly free after 7½ years for killing 6 children, Why should the other evil two get a lesser sentence, they were all equally guilty of carrying out this horrific crime?
Why are you winking at Baz? I doubt any 'do gooders' would want anything but the life sentence for him.
I'd thought they might get a lesser sentence. Glad I was wrong.
no one can second guess this, whether they get time reduced, however in his case he should serve a full life sentence, then he is no danger to anyone.
One can only hope that this pathetic excuse for a woman & mother gets a lot harsher sentence from her fellow inmates that she got from this woman judge.
It's shocking what a bully can make you do or go along with.
Justice is served. Why do some folk see it as a good thing that whilst inside the other criminals there will make their life hell? These people inside who will be doing these things do it cus it makes them feel better about their own crimes. Remember these people are muggers (remember the photos of elderly women battered for their pensions), thieves, rogues, the dreggs of society who are pleased to take the opportunity to belittle their own crimes. Yes I do realise that what Philpot did is worse.
I think he will join the ranks of Hindley and Brady (and hopefully Huntley)- never get out except in a box.
Wouldn't not be at all surprised to hear that he has ended up like Fred West.
put this total scumbag on suicide watch.....

give him a nice rope and watch to make sure he uses it..

we really do need to introduce a 'licence to breed'

Death would be an easy escape for him. Let him have years of suffering in prison.
No Kinnell, we really don't.
hc, totally agree. I was listening to the crime reporter, assume that was what he was, explaining the life sentence that has been imposed, and the difference between that and the other two sentences, Philpott will not be eligible for parole until the 15 years has been served, as to the other two that will be half the sentence handed down. Personally they should all have had the same sentences, but at least that bstard has gone to prison for a long time.
kinell, no we don't. That is the wrong approach entirely.
well, they are behind bars, thats the main thing.i hope they think about their children every day they are alive.
strange to say but i don't think he will.
ummmm

Not in this case, a proper mother would risk her own life to protect her children.

So it shouldn't have been a choice, a beating from her husband or putting her children at risk?

No choice at all in my mind.

Apparently he used his previous conviction for attempted murder as a means to 'persuade' his wife to obey him. This is why she got a lesser sentence.

I will never understand why she didn't leave him years ago - although he stabbed his ex girlfriend 27 times when she dumped him.

Yes there are some who are not much better than Phillpot, but not all of them, even thieves and certain other criminals, will be repulsed at this crime, enough to take it out on him.
AOG - Clearly you haven't been on the receiving end of a bully like him.
