What will the Government be raiding the Lottery Fund for next.

Now the Paralympics are nearly over, what will the government be dipping into the lottery fund for next?
The government have been using the fund as its own personal piggybank and has come under fire for raiding over an extra £600m for the olympics, which they said they will pay back but will possibly be over decades, in which time sucessive governments will find ways to stall and put on the backburner. The small print of the deal did not even guarantee that we would get the entire amount back as it was based on the selling off of land and that property prices would need to rise by 20%. Who would be stupid enough to sign off a deal that gave such conditions.

Duck Ponds?
I had little time for the Olympics and even less for the Paralympics.

I don't agree at all about giving millions to fund ultimately what is very likely to be the few careers of those that may be successful.

As for the government raiding monies. They all do it no matter who is in power. They continue to raid and take more from me and you but never tackle the actual problems as to why.
I don't understand why the government would 'give the money back' anyway. It would only come out of taxes. What do you want: a year's free lottery gambling for players?!
