They did not arrest the two kids that tried the same thing in Coventry.
It must have been slightly scary for the poor torch bearer.
no doubt the torch bearer will be suing for stress and trauma or some other old tosh.

what is the big deal with this torch, who really cares, its now a symbol of an event that has become a slave to the corporate £
This seems to be a bit of non-story then, if it happened in Coventry too - we didn't hear about that one.

Just seen the BBC coverage of the incident on the news. I was impressed with the speed of reaction of the torchbearer guards..................

Couldn't agree more, it is not as if the torch is the only one, ie similar to the FA or World cup, there are dozens of them.

Yet hundreds turn out to see someone run a few hundred yards holding one aloft.

And the flame what's that all about, "locked up safely for the night in the Tower of London"????????????
