Fire death children

It appears that the parents of the 6 children killed in a fire at Derby have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are to be questioned later. There seems to have been rumours and I wondered if that was what they were about after caravan/mini bus were taken for forensic examination. I suppose it wasn't meant to be anything other than an accident which went terribly wrong. If they did do it, they will have this to live with for the rest of their lives. Those poor children.

Putting listening devices in their hotel room would be admissible in court if a warrant had been granted by a judge to do so. In a very recent murder case evidence gathered this way was used in court and helped to convict the parents of the murderer of perverting the course of justice.

surely if they were looking for petrol traces etc they would already have them on themselves when trying to save the children
Not at all. In that example there would be not liquid petrol, it had ignited.
I cannot image, regardless of overcrowding, that I would sleep in a caravan in the drive while my kids were asleep inside a house. I still wouldn't like to sleep on a different floor to my kids and they are no longer little, how could you get them out to safety if anything happened??
HC, its not about how you 'should' behave... as you say there is no 'correct' way ...
its about behaving 'realistically'

people trained in reading micro expressions, body language, language experts etc are well aware that shock makes people act differently, they can account for that, but there are many signs that people faking simply cannot control or simply over look.
they dont look at the expected actions - their job to look past the obvious signs - the ones amateur actors would think about ...
its similar to the way humans cannot alter the results of a lie detector test - because they are testing things that we cannot control.

your state of shock in your circumstance i am sure although you may have thought you were acting odd... all the little giveaways would not have been there, so you would have been believable.

these two look as though they are just thought 'look miserable and wipe our eyes a lot' - because they think thats enough.

but in these cirumstances police look at the stuff they arent doing.

speech also plays a part here, phrases, tenses, choice of words comes out offten subconsciously... stuff like using the past tense when referring to the missing person .. "the used to go", "they liked this" etc - it gives away the fact that you know they are already dead - if you genuinely were unsure you would use present tense.
