So is the news that a book is due out or is it that you're a swinger?
Question Author
Well I put it in News because the book is based on a News story, and John Kercher is a journalist.

I don't understand the "swinger" reference.

Ohh, hang on, I see ... "swing by Waterstones" ... okay, with you now.
I know you're interested in the story, but I really am not. I don't know anyone else who is, tbh.
Question Author
Aaah, yes Boxy, but the fact that nobody else is interested has never stopped me from posting.

=0)

Just look at how many people click when I post a netball thread, LOL

(none, usually, unless they've dropped in to take the mickey)

So, hey ho ... I will keep trying.
That's cos they're looking at your skort, JJ......

Who is John Kercher?
Question Author
The father of Meredith Kercher.

The student who was murdered in Italy.
I'm interested JJ and would be very interested to know your review once you have read it :)
Question Author
Well, I've got the book. I've started reading it over coffee this morning. I'll let you know what I make of it.

The first chapter is background, and the possibility that the family might never know what happened to their daughter.

Then there's an account of how they found out that Meredith had been killed, which is one of those heartbreaking reads that sounds like fiction, because you can't imagine it ever really happening.
You're lucky to still have a Waterstones...
I'm very interested and shall probably be buying the book at some point but I'll still be interested in JJ's critique.

Trouble is I read the books on this and still can't make up my mind about who, besides Guede killed poor Meredith.
Question Author
Our is a very jolly Waterstones.

And we have this big ginger beardy chap who sells The Big Issue, who's nearly always by the door. He's lovely. Although he looks a bit scary.
Question Author
I've already sat and cried, reading the account of the phone calls telling John Kercher that a girl had been murdered in Perugia, but still not knowing that it was Meredith.

I think I need to take Daddy for lunch tomorrow.
For anyone else interested in this book, I saw it in Smith's today, when I was out book hunting. They have offers on in there at the moment, but sorry I can't remember if this was one...Duhhh
