Positive story about Muslims in the Mail - what in God's name are they up to?

There are some certainties in life that we all take for granted...any single released by Jedward will be horrible to listen to, there will be rain on any UK bank holiday, and the Mail will always seek out a rollicking
anti-Muslim/feminist/gay/Labour/black story to induce spittle-flying episodes amongst it's readership.

So why the hell have they printed this positive story relating to Muslims' patriotism?

http://www.dailymail....c-British-people.html

Could it be that the Mail's website has been hacked? Surely there was a story about a forced arrange marriage they could have printed instead? Or even better, a primary school forced to feed their kids halal meat?

Blimey, what magnification are those 'rose tinted specs' of yours?
What eyes Messi - nothing is showing at all.
OK, shall we have a competition to try and guess which woman in the picture, in the opinion of AOG, is showing complete servitude to her husband :-)
Lol @ Messi
In the immortal words of a great British lady, suitably amended, " well they would say that, wouldn't they?"

Would the people questioned want the headline to read "99% of Muslims are unpatriotic"

They aren't daft - they know what surveys are used for...
All of them ichkeria, the women are covered from head to feet while their men dress in western attire.
AOG: I find it odd that you're so keen to interrogate the pictures in this article (and therefore admit, rightly, that pictures can mislead us), but that you don't seem to adopt the same admirable vigilance when it comes to pictures/stories which portray Muslims negatively.
/// I think the point of the question was nothing to do with the rights and wrongs of patriotism, rather surprise that the Daily Mail has apparently published an article which portrays Muslims in a positive light - positive that is in the eyes of the Daily Mail which presumably thinks patriotism is very good (as indeed it is expressed in the "right" ways). ///

We all know what the point of sp's question was all about, but seeing that he took the trouble to post a link, isn't it that, that one should address, hence their headline?

/// Muslims 'are more patriotic than most British people' ///
"They aren't daft - they know what surveys are used for."

Which is rather ridiculous, as it pre-supposes that "Muslims" were asked this question in isolation, as a group, whereas it appears that, actually, this was a poll of 2000 people of all religions and none about British cultural icons. Which in turn begs the question: "how many Muslims were actually interviewed?"
"All of them ichkeria, the women are covered from head to feet while their men dress in western attire. "

Are they? I don't see any men in the picture at all.

Where the heck have I said that?

It was Messi_Ten who was misled (or at least he tried to mislead others) when he typed,

/// ...you could see the laughter in her eyes. ///
"/// Muslims 'are more patriotic than most British people' /// "

That's just an apparent result of the finding. I know what you are about: you think that if there was a survey apparently showing that "indigenous white people" (i.e. proper British people what don't dress funny) are more patriotic than Muslims etc, then all the awful lefties on AB would shout that they were just nasty fascists for loving dear old blighty.
As to whether Muslims are indeed more patriotic than "indigenous white people" well I have no idea - it's an interesting question, but I am not sure that is actually what you were asking.
It is an interesting question ichkeria, sometimes answered when England play Pakistan in a test match.

Ah, the old Lord Tebbit nonsense. Mind you that only "answers the question" for Pakistanis, who are of course only one ethnic grouping who are predominantly Moslim. The survey was about Moslims, not Pakistanis
Which team would you cheer on Ichkeria England or the land or your forefathers.
finally, good publicity for once lol
"Which team would you cheer on Ichkeria England or the land or your forefathers. "

Which would you? (I don't want you actually to reply, as it's of no interest to me and none of my business:-) )
You posted a question ichkeria and my answer is of course England, and if I left England and took up nationality of another country I of course would support that. Your non-answer said it all.

I don't understand what you mean. What has any of that got to do with the question? I'm Irish if must know and as far as football goes I support Northern Ireland. I am at a loss to know what knowing that adds to the debate about whether Moslems are more patriotic than non-Moslems in Britain, or whether the Daily Mail has lost its marbles/turned over a welcome new leaf (regardless of whether the story is of any value)
I have saved that news link, ...............just in case.
