The problem with trying to find any free Scrabble site is that Hasbro's lawyers are quick to take action against any website which seems to be infringing their patents and trademarks. (i.e. the makers of Scrabble don't like you playing their game, or unauthorised variations of it, unless you pay for it).

how about opening a basic facebook account owdhamer?
(just open it with the briefest of details to protect your identity, maybe even use a nick name instead of using your real name if youre not interested in doing the facebook thing)
and on there you can have a good game of scrabble with people all over the world, from someone living localish to someone from as far as down under..
its good fun :o)
