I've made my own personal observations of the political/socio-political leanings of AB's 'regulars' but how do YOU all see it ?
Is AB mostly dominated by 'lefties', 'liberals', 'right wingers', 'anarchists', 'un-definables/don't cares' or a good mixture right across the board.
I appreciate that it's a contentious subject matter and if you don't wish to comment, you don't have to. (some people need to be told this IMO)

You're asking about politics in CB?? Wrong category I think.

Maybe - but it is 'in house' ;-)
Ok, if you're asking in house, think the don't cares win.
If you're alluding to other threads, then I am happy to report that I'm middle of the road, with a tendency to lean to the right.
I incline to the centre right, because I dislike the hypocrisy of the champagne socialists.

I read a centre left newspaper because I enjoy the diversity of the editorials, and the quality of the journalism.

I live in a town where we have the only Green Party MP, and I think that is fab and, knowing that they can actually get elected, I might vote Green next time.

But, really, we like to draw an imaginary boundary below Gatwick Airport, and consider ourselves Independant.

No ... make that a line ABOVE Gatwick Airport. Gatwick is OURS, and we're keeping it.
extreme left. I make Mao look lilke a softie.
I'm of the "it's all a load of crap" persuasion.

vote them in, and they don't do whatever they promised to do.
I'm of the same opinion as the curly one ^
me three, sara for PM!! huzaaa!
sara do you vote for the same kind of crap at each election :)
sara, with my kind of ruler, you don't vote them in, they just seize power and execute all the bankers.

I think that politics is the second biggest cause of problems on here as to the first you may wish to hazard your own guesses... But the site has attracted a full spectrum from those who'd secretly think Hitler was a namby pamby liberal to others to the left of Stalin with others so green you could harvest the grass as a crop Makes it interesting
my policies would be fantastic :o)
i believe one's politcial views, that is if you had any to start with, change a bit as you get older, with experience, and having lived a bit can put a different slant on views you might have held as a student say. I know mine have, but i don't that we really should need to say right, left wing, what we should be doing is all pulling together in these tough times, sadly some seem to think that they are the only ones having it. I paid into a pension for a short time, and the reason was that shortly after started it was made redundant, and after that well it just well downhill.
No one owes you a living and you just have to get on with things as best you can, i had no choice in what happened to me or my hard working colleagues, but they bit the bullet and moved on.
I try to be a compassionate realist. I suppose I lean to the left, but I find that:

1) All politicians lie

2) All politicians talk the talk but oh so rarely walk the walk i.e. state publicly an opinion but it is never carried out. They are not alone in this and it is how the world seems to run today.

3) All politicians are removed from reality, they have very little understanding of what we all have to go through, so when they change the world around us, they have no idea what it means.
