Do you think the sentences the courts give are good enough to stop this kind of crime.

If they were do be dealt with under Sharia Law would they have their bits chopped off?
And that sandy roe is one of the reasons why no Muslim I have ever met really wants sharia over here
Now wait for all the diversions to take place.
There may be something good about Sharia, after all, if they treat their paedophiles like that.
Maximum penalty is 14 years, which seems about right.

This case may explain the racist attack in Rochdale yesterday ( though yesterday's victim appears to have been selected because he was Asian, not that he was connected with this lt).

<Is there any news from the techie department about the progress being made on the Irony Klaxon ?>
If the child is under 13 (we do not know the details in this case) the maximum penalty is life. That seems like a good deterent.
"Now wait for all the diversions to take place"

Like this ^ one for example ? (ironically speaking)
It must be a very rare thing for anyone to receive the maximum sentence for any crime.

triggerhappy they are up in court today if you care to read the article.
Regarding Sandy's comment, as i'm genuinely curious...

If there bits are chopped off, as he so charmingly put it, does the urge to do something like this go away? Or is it still there, so therefore they're capable of molestation, just not sex? If so, isn't that method of punishment all a bit pointless? Unless you're short of door wedges i guess? I reckon they'd make good door keeper openers!

What sentences do you think they will get, and what do you think they will get?
Most people who commit crime don't expect to get caught. So is any sentence really a deterent?
4846

And what do you think they should get?
no..............
-- answer removed --
The urge is there, just not the bits.
I think myself a liberal, with the small 'l'. But the abuse of children is the one crime that makes my blood boil. It is a crime that the victim might never get clear off. It blights their life.
