Does anyone have an ounce of sympathy to show for the way Imogen Thomas has been treated?

Or is she just annoyed because she cannot earn a few bob from a 'kiss and tell' story?

She pleads that she hasn't £50,000 to get an injunction, so that her name could be protected also, yet at the same time she tells her story to the newspapers and appears on breakfast TV.

I sypmathise as far as this is a young woman who has been naiive in her dealings with the media, and as she confirms, does not have accesss to the level of protection that her married lover can afford.

There is a wonderful description of fame - it being like a barbed-wire treadmill, you need to know exactly how to run on it, or it will tear you to pieces.

I am never keen to take the moral high ground, the 'she got what she deserves for sleeping with a married man' - because like everyone else, I don't know the circumstances of their relationship.

Hopefully Ms Thomas will learn that married men will almost always protect their wives and families first, and if that is at the expense of the 'other woman', then so be it.

Add fame and the medai into the mixa, and here we are - a sad tale from which no-one emerges with any dignity.

It says more about our society that anyone really cares what a footballer does off the pitch, or with whom.
The footballer is married and deserves the same. But he can buy immunity. That part is unjust. it was a private matter, but he was found out and should face the music like anyone else would have to. Yet our legal system can seemingly be bought.
I think she's only doing it to highlight how unfairly she's been treated. I don't condone her affair, but she got slapped with this injunction when (she says) she never intended saying anything.

she gets hounded by the press, he walks away scot free.
If she would like to do a kiss and tell on me I'll promise not to take an injunction out.
They both knew he was married with children when they started the affair. He then took the cowards way out by getting super injuction, which in my opinion backfired by just making people and the press more determind to find out who he was and out out him. So no, no sympathy for either of them from me.
And that is where my personal sympathy lies sara.

This naive woman has become involved in a relationship with a famous sports star - the morality of which is for them to deal with.

However, because of the voracious need for sleazy gossip, she has found herself seriously out of her depth, hounded and buillied by high-price lawyers, and villified in a judgemental media.

She does not dserve that sort of treatment - no-one does.
Didn't she go public with this first? Wasn't she in the Mirror saying she had an affair,

Reap what you sow
I don't know why he wanted an injunction when there are so many others doing exactly the same, getting found out, but still going on with their lives with no bother. He's not going to get the sack is he? If he is a very good footballer he will still be seen kicking the ball about. They will not want to lose him. So who cares? Bet there are a lot of hints that can be dropped to find out who he is anyway and he would have a job stopping everyone - gossip from the hotel employees for a start.
I don't immagine either of them embarked on this relationship seeing this as the outcome - who on earth would!

The fact is, married men rarely leave wives and children, and famous married men will and do pay to protect their image and privacy.

M. Thomas has learned a valuable lesson the hard way - if you don' want to swim with sharks, stay out of the media pool.
of course, if she did anything like this again I'd have no sympathy for her. I hope she's learned her lesson.
I actually hope that she does okay out of all this, as if there is one thing i can't stand it's hypocrisy and it's hypocritical of the man concerned to behave any way he pleases and then pay fpor the priviledge of keeping it quiet. I don't care who sleeps with whom, it's no-one's business but the people concerned, but if you do then you should stand by your actions and the courts certainly should not be issuing gagging orders as imho that's the only immoral thing going on here at all.
I have no symathy at all, other then for the fact she appears to have no brain. She is in to some people considered famous. She decided to have a relationship with another famous person, who happened to be married. What did she think would happen? These feelings also apply to the gutless worm she was boffing.
I hope he gets whats coming to him. He couldve done wonders on the left for us ;-)
Stupid thing is the persons' name is easy to find.

Google is your friend !
She didn't consider the repercussions of her frolick, especially on the stability of this father's children - she's no more than a ho !
I may be being harsh but I don't think for one second she's as naive and innocent as she's making out, she's all over the papers and TV milking it for what it's worth. She's apparently been 'linked' with around 20 other footballers, I don't think she's just met a nice chap that happens to be a footballer and fallen for him.
In her game especially, no publicity is bad publicity and she's gonna get a fair bit more work from the likes of zoo and nuts out of this.
She's making out that her reputation has been sullied, when it certainly wasn't whiter than white in the first place.
If I were to get super moralistic, I'd say if she really loved him, as she claimed, she'd want his happiness. To me, it's clear she loves fame more than she loves him.
whar would happen to her if she did say his name??
Sorry not an iota of sympathy for anyone involved here except maybe the wife and kids
The footballers got his privacy and we all now know who Imogen Thomas is
Its a win win for those two
"whar would happen to her if she did say his name?? "

i imagine she'd be charged with contempt of some sort or other
