Well it looks as if Britain is left 'holding the baby' once again.

I would have thought our experiences in Afghanistan would have taught us about our NATO colleagues, not pulling their weight?

// The United States, which initially played a leading role in enforcing the no-fly zone, has withdrawn from ground strikes //

I am sure that is a relief to everybody, friend or foe!
No wonder compared with the rest of the world we are a declining nation. Producing high tech weaponry does nothing to put food on the plate for undernourished Britons. Other countries do not participate because of the drain on their financial resources.

Maybe politicians would have you believe Britain is closer to God and therefore doing work on his behalf to rid the world of evil tyrants. Many of the population think they are doing it for other motives.
One can understand that to prevent one's aircraft being fired upon, there may be strikes on ground equipment. But the news reports seem to suggest that a lot more than merely protecting planes enforcing the no fly zone, is occurring. Seems to me that those who were interested in enforcing a no fly zone are doing more than required already.
