Poll cards are usually delivered shortly ahead of elections. If you have local elections set for 6th May you should receive your poll card within the next week or so.

The date of the next Parliamentary election has not yet been announced. This election can be called at very short notice and must be held before 3rd June 2010. If this also takes place on 6th May, the law requires a separate poll card be delivered to electors; these would probably be delivered from mid-April.

Ok thanks,I thought I had been forgotten and I thought the postal votes came much earlier.
some areas are not having local election, so you wont get a voting card till the GE has been announced (pretty much just repeating what aberrant said, i know!)
