On the subject of spelling have noticed a common error that could be helped by the saying I learned at school
umpteen years ago:
I before E except after C.
Works every time.

It's a mixed bag on here, I would never comment on anyone else's spelling
I'm a typist, but sometimes on here I'm typing a response way too quickly and dont give a stuff if I mis-spell something

I before E except after C doesn't work every time,there are quite a few words that this rule doesn't apply to.
EG: neighbour,weigh,beige,foreign........and many more.

its a bad mistake that one, it can make a whole post make no sense whatsoever. How can anyone understand a question or reply when that mistake has been made?

yer agree with above, plus people on here arent really that bothered about spelling only if they really cant understand a word thats been written.
