Cant remember the song name by 60's female artist
Lyrics I remember are: "And then suddenly, out of the blue you take me in your arms and say I love you.... I love you... I love you I love you I do"

Any idea who sang it?
Was she British, American, was it pop, soul, Motown?
Can you hum the tune and upload it for us?
Was she a lone singer or did she front a band?
Gladys Knight and the Pips - Take me in your arms and love me?

Thank you all so much for your help!
1) No, unfortunately I don't remember the artists name or name of song
2) I would guess it's a white solo female singer from mid to late 60's
3) I heard the Gladys Knight song but alas, it's not the song I mean

All I remember is that it was a wonderful tune (as evidenced by the fact that I still remember it 35 years later!) and the lyrics had the following lines:
"I don't understand, the things you do or say, why sometimes you make me feel so mad I want to run away...And then suddenly, out of the blue you take me in your arms & say
I love you
I love you
I love you I love you I do
Now I don't understand, but I don't really care
Just as long as you're mine, and you're there"
Thanks for any help or hints you can think of
Cheers
