A couple of questions from a tricky local quiz - And believe me I have tried Googling them. I just hope someone out there might just KNOW them.

1. What is the tallest statue in the UK , including the plinth, which has a person on top ?? I don't know whether Nelson's Column qualifies as a statue in this context, but as the next question but one asks about NC, I suspect it doesn't.

2. In which city can you find an English Heritage Blue Plaque which simply says "On this site in 1884 Absolutely Nothing Happened" ??

Would be grateful for ant help or suggestions. Thanks.

angel of the north?
Angel of the North is 66ft high.

Nelson's Column is 169ft high. Don't know if it's the tallest in the UK though.
