Yes indeed. RJD is/was one of the greatest singers in that particular genre. Could sing both Ian Gillan and David Coverdale into a cocked hat, IMO...

Indeed.
Are you familiar with the ' Elf ' years ? I know that a lot of Sabbath/rainbow/Dio fans are blissfully unaware of the genius behind the voice and his early days in the Electric Elves aka Elf. Just incase - ' Annie new orleans ' for your enjoyment. Eddie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2D7fmK27pWU |

I agree. Sad to hear he has cancer, he is a legend, and fantastic live performer. Don't know how to do that cut and paste thing, bit listen to Love is All off the Butterfly Ball album, on YouTube. Its an amazing track

just happened across the version with Glover plus one other singing..! Schweet.
Incidently, i've got a load of Elf on MP3 if you'd like a copy. £2 donation to a cancer charity will do for a copy. Eddie |

Saw the great man most recently reunited with Iommi/Butler on the Heaven & Hell tour a couple of years back.
Even at pushing 70 he still sounded great. there's a great site which has photo's and some mp3's of his 50's cabaret days in Ronnie and the Rockets inc a stonking take on 'I left my Heart in San Fransisco'....worth googling! best wishes to the Man on the Silver Mountain |

Saw him with his solo band Dio and also Heaven and Hell. Great vocalist and frontman.

| Been a fan of his music with Rainbow, Black Sabbath and of course his solo band. Will be missed. |
