Lots in the media about Dame Vera Lynn becoming the oldest artist to achieve a uk top 20 album. Can anyone tell me who held the record prior to Vera.

I would say The Zimmers. Alf was 90.

And Buster in the Zimmers was supposed to be 102. Anyway, I'm certain they didn't do an album (just 2 singles- My Generation and Firestarter), and if they did it certainly didn't make the top 20
