Surely there must be a guitarist out there in AB land who remembers Bridget St. John (from the late 60s) and if so, do you know how to play her music? Ta Muchly.

Hiya wood!
I can't play guitar, docspock can though! Wonder if he can remember Bridget St John? How's your day been wood?

Hi Sachs, my day's been mainly one of pain....practising guitar like mad for an upcoming gig (now, now don't get all wobbly, I aint famous...yet) and my fingers hurt like hell. Other than that, boring shopping and listening to tennis. I'll wait and see if the Doc can come up with anything or anyone else.
Two of my brothers play guitar wood, I think it takes so much patience. I know doc was in the process of moving house, not sure if he's been on lately. What songs is Bridget St John famous for, the name is vaguely familiar?

Hi Sachs, I suppose Bridget St. John is famous to those who remember and like her music, though I hope she has found a newer and wider audience. She was the first singer to be on John Peel's record label Dandelion (I think) and for me her best album was and is her first Ask Me No Questions.
I'm not that brilliant a guitarist - only a strummer...I did say strummer! - or I'd be able to work out the chords and alternate tunings, if she used any...though I have been able to work out one of her songs; patting myself on the back...smile.
But there aren't any sites anywhere showing her music and I can't find any way of contacting her, so that's why I thought someone out in AB land might also be a fan and a guitarist too.
Bet you wanted to know all that, eh?...smile.
wood,
I found her on you tube earlier.

What was she singing and what did you think?
Heres a link wood ... the song is 'Want to be with you'
I think she has a style a bit like Joni Mitchel. This was taken from The old grey whistle Test back in 1974!
