Who sings the song titled MAGIC?

I am looking for the artist who sing a song called MAGIC. It is from the 80's I think. I goes : Magic, you can have  anything that you desire. Magic, and you know your the one who can put out the fire, do do do dododo, do do do do.... Thanks for the help!

The full title is "You Can Do Magic", and it was recorded by America in 1982.  Any compilation of theirs you find will have it.

Wasn't that the great Limmie and the family cookin; song from the early 70s.

I know 2 diff. songs can have the same title - just didn't realise those ones did.

I know the America version, and if it's from the 80s it's certainly that one.  It was written by Russ Ballard who's been active since the early 70s at least.  In which case, the Limmie song could well be the same one, I've not heard it though.

Two different songs your talking about folks....Limmie and the Family Cookin' (now there's a name for a band eh?) had a number 3 hit in 1973 and America (of Horse with No name and Sister Golden Hair fame) had thier hit single in 1982 but only reached number 59.....I would opt for the america song if the questioner is right with their timescale.
