Yep Andrea True Connection (I am old enough to remember it too) it got to No5 in 1976.

As I have mentioned previously - Ms. True was an adult movie star with aspirations to be a pop singer. She found herself in Jamaica with a sum of money paid for making a TV commercial. Because the law forbade her from leaving the island with the money in cash, she arranged to pay to record a single, which was re-mixed by Tom Moulton, one of the hottest DJ re-mixers of the time, and it was a big hit. The lyric "...get the camers rolling, ger the action going ..." has a certain frisson when you consider that at the time her song was on the radio, you could observe Ms True in her 'other' career at any adult movie theatre in America. One more hit, and her pop career was over - her current activites remaain a mystery.

well i didnt know who it was, but if you remember at all, it was on a cheesy advert for something like butlns, just to let you know :)
