80's telly music...

Does anyone remember a piece of synthesizer music used on a TV programme in the late 80's? I get the feeling it may have been a fashion programme, and the song may have been a complete instrumental. I thought at first it was off Top of the Pops, but I've looked through tunes used on the show, but drew a blank. I'd love to know who produced it and what it was called, but was typically 80's, like summat Paul Hardcastle might have done on a quiet night in! All as I can remember to describe it is that I remember only one bit of it, and at the end of that, it echoes a couple of times.

^^^ The theme tune to "The Clothes Show" was an instrumental version of the Arthur Baker remix of the Pet Shop Boys' song "In The Night"
yellow pearl by phil lynott??
It's a long shot but 80's TV programme "Where there's life" presented by Dr Miriam Stoppard used Jean Michele Jarre's Oxygene IV as the theme tune. Maybe this helps?
it definately wasn't ' The wizard ' by Paul Harcastle ...??

The great egg race....?
The clothes show ( as previously suggested - Oops! )
