The singer was called Adele, I thought she had a great voice too. She has an album coming out in Jan 2008, which is available for pre-order on Amazon.

Was just about to ask you if it was a female singer, when I saw that someone had answered you. I was thinking it probably was Adele, coz she was fantastic. The song is called 'chasing pavements'.
