Hey, I'm looking for some songs which use samples taken from video games, particularly older games like mario or sonic. Anyone got any ideas?

Tetris by Dr Spin reached number 6 back in 1992.
I thnk there was also a track called "Powerpill" which sampled pacman but I don't know who it was by.

There used to be a tetris song in the charts years ago and also one called super mario land or something...both crap songs.

Yep. The song was called "pac-man" and the group was called Powerpill around 1992 time as well.

The first example of this I recall was back in 1988. The excellent tune 'Humanoid' by Stakker took a sample from early 80s coin-op 'Berzerk'.

There was a Mario tune that came out round about the same time as the Tetris one.
