Does anyone know how to effectively remove the clear blu-tak kinda thing thats used to stick Cd's on the cover of mags like NME and Q? Its such a mission

normally it just kind of rolls off, start at one end and it all comes off in one go. unless you're talking about a more complex adhesive?
get some sellotape and lightly touch the sticky side to the part of the magazine with the blob attached to it, do it a few times and you should find the unwanted sticky bit sticks to the sellotape and comes off bit by bit.
I'd agree with the first answer - if you gently take hold of a blob and pull gently, it should simultaneiously stretch, and also peel away from the magazine surface, without leaving any undue residue.
I agree, the stuff is generally pants @ sticking the cds on their anyways so pulling it off isnt much of a chore
Rub'n'Roll, not a new term in music, but usually all you need to do. If it doesnt work, try a blow torch.
