ipod only plays 1/2 of songs

my ipod nano has 389 songs on it, but only a little less than half of those songs play... I do not have access to my itunes library that was originally synced to the ipod so I can only charge it and listen to whats already on it. The problem started when the recently added songs were not available anymore. Is there anyway I can fix this without hooking it up to a computer where I would have to erase the ones that are accessable?

I'm afriad not, no.

However, you can get your music from iPod to the computer using yamipod, and then use the restore function in iTunes to reset the iPod, and then load the music back on:
