I know that Napster has been shut down, but is there anywhere else where I can download new music? I am totally willing to pay for it.

Since the demise of Napster, the massive number of downloaders out there are looking for other sources of music on the Net, and the gap left is already being filled by others.
First off the blocks is Audiogalaxy - www.audiogalaxy.com - and as the most popular site of the moment, they are heavily subscribed, but it's worth persevering to get on. If you download the 'Satellite' system from the instructions, you should be able to access your tunes from there.
Also with a look is the Gnutella site - www.nutellanews.com - who are getting a good site together.
If dance music is your thing, have a look at www.trinityaudio.co.uk which is under construction.
Gnotella is a good site and so is Limewire. I tried Audiogalaxy, but when i downloaded it, the software messed up my PC.
Search with Yahoo! or other search engines under mp3.
Aimster is very good. Sometimes SongSpy.
go to musiccity.com and dowload morpheus, its free but its really good, its fast and has a huge amount of users so virtually every song recorded is on there.
download limewire for free and you can get anything,
www.limewire.com
limewire is another place u can download music.. its free but its illegal

If ur willing to pay just use the I-tunes music store.. thats pretty good and relatively cheap.
go to limewire a freedownload site with millions of songs on it.
mp3rocket.com similar to limewire but a lot safer me thinks, also has tv, films, games ...the lot... all free
