was flicking through the channels and peter kay was number 1, very funny, wouldnt say it's the funniest ever. i would have said a clip from the steve coogan show, when he was interviewing politicians, brings tears to my eyes.
Got fed up after about the first 40, I had'nt even raised a smile by then
Yeah it was kinda strange that Peter Kay earned funniest 'clip'. I would have though that a clip was something short, whereas they seemed to focus on his whole career to date.
I would love to know how many people voted for this list as there were probably 10 funny clips in the whole 100, and not necessarily the top 10.

I would like to know what happened to the clip from the Office where Gareth rides off in the sidecar was (unless I missed it when I left the room)
I only saw a clip of Margaret Thatcher on Swap shop, enough for me.
the problem with these top 100's is that c4 pick the top 100.all the general public get to do is sort them into an order.
i was a bit lost at peter kay being no1??

yeh,he is great but a bit out of place if you ask me?
I apply the 'have to pick myself up from off the floor' test to funny moments, and I haven't had to do that for quite a long time.
The last sitcom where I came anywhere near to doing that was Black Books, though Green Wing came close.

Funniest moment for me was episode 2 of the comedy drama serial Porterhouse Blue from the 1980s get hold of the DVD or video if you can!
what was the Peter Kay clip?? I never understand these things - when were the public asked to vote??!
reinganum - you would probably enjoy the Tom Sharpe books then. As well as the Porterhouse ones, try Ancestral Vices.

sunflower - that was my point above, it wasn't - as far as I could see - one 'clip'.

is this the one where they were masterbating that flower?
that is the one - they seemed to be enjoying it a little too much too
Peter Kay is not funny folks You have all been duped. His star will burn out soon. What a poor impression of a comedian, and I use the term lightly, he is. How does he get away with it. Gags are dated and obvious, I physically cringe every time I see him.
