The words "Ladies and gentleman, as you know we have something special down here at Birdland this evening... a recording for Blue Note records" are spoken by Pee Wee Marquette, the former MC at the famous Birdland jazz club in New York. The sample is taken from a 1954 live recording of the Art Blakey Quintet.
