My favourite one hit wonder has always been Echo Beach by Martha and the Muffins. What's yours?

I must admit to having a soft spot for I Touch Myself by The Divinyls and What I Am by Edie Brickell (although Emma Bunton's complete travesty of a cover version tarnished my love of it somewhat ...).
Harvey's Rabbit "Is what you call change"
Something in the Air by Thunderclap Newman
Just to be a bit of a geek here, Martha and the Muffins did have at least one more hit albeit under another name. It was called "Black stations white stations" and reached no. 46 in 1984. Ok so I looked up the number it reached but I knew the year as it's mentione in the lyrics... "Black stations white stations, break down the doors, it's time to face the music this is 1984..." Does anyone else remember this song? I'm sure Andy Hughes will come up with more info on them!
Can U dig it by the mock turtles.
Radar Love by Golden Earring - that ok Gazzawazza?
only if you don't count having appeared in the chart with the one song twice xyyzy!!!
Sorry xyzzplugh, don't quite know what you're getting at there, (I'm not really a geek, I was just trying to show I knew something... !!!) But if you're implying that Radar Love was a one hit wonder - twice?! then the charts are full of so called one hit wonders. The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles (which our pop quiz setter regularly ignores!) states that a one hit wonder is an artist who has "One number one hit single, and nothing else... ever). Hope this clears up why I poked my nose in!
xyzzyplugh, did you see the lead singer from Golden Earring on 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks'? Boy have the years been unkind to him!
Radar Love my alltime favorite ever (what's yours?) Yes Mikewith I seen him on Buzzcocks. I like these eurobands also liked Sigue sigue Sputnik. Not picking at you Gazzawazza Just having a bit of fun. Anyone remember fun? (only joking) MC (this will mean Merry Christmas [MC] from now on save me typing and to commemor8 texting)
Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, it's on the City of Angels soundtrack, I absolutely love it.
