Overend Watts :-( - another part of my childhood gone. I was at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1973, when they were supported by Queen (can you believe that?). Awesome night....

I can Mushroom - because I saw them earlier in the tour, here in Stoke.

the concert overran and the venue lowered the safety curtain, which was promptly propped up by rolling the piano under it....

I saw the Barron Knights at Watford. I think the venue is gone now...
I saw Alvin Stardust at Batley varieties in 1977.

by the time of the 1973 tour verden allen had already left the band to be replaced by morgan fisher. shame I never saw him live, Verden allen was a bit of a nutter, and he didn't do drugs either....
ahhh those were the days!
Wish I'd seen some of my seventies idols but alas I was too young and I couldn't afford it :-(

I saw that tour as well - in Manchester.

I thought TL were loud, and the BTO arrived and re-defined what the word 'loud' actually means!
