Just for those of you who replied to my platform ticket post yesterday,
Went to the station and was told that platform tickets were no longer available but was allowed on to the platform with a pass (so that I could get back out again..) and didnt have to pay anything like you used to when purchasing platform ticket. Had a good day with friend and showed her all the delights that Stoke on Trent has to offer....took all of 20 minutes!
