I just heard this on the radio. I remember when I first heard Emma by Hot Chocolate. Music was fantastic in the 1970s. There is no comparison.

Errol Brown was the very first pop star I ever met.

The band were playing a Christmas Eve gig, and staying in the hotel I worked in as a barman.

I got Errol’s autograph for a barmaid who was too shy to ask, and he was very charming.

I worked Christmas Day morning, and the bassist, Patrick Olive came in for a beer. I felt sorry for him, so I invited him to ours for Christmas Dinner, but he had plans. Great band.

Or do you mean the 1870s?

Wagner's Ring was completed in the 1870s so, strictly speaking, I think that was the greatest decade for music.
Couldn't agree more, Jayne. :-)
