Just a little something to cheer people up a bit around here (if anyone needs it).

I'm a fan of Ondřej Havelka's retro jazz music and this video, from his days with the Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra, always makes me smile. I hope that has the same effect on you!

Absolutely fantastic, Chris...Love the hair parted in the middle, the horn-rimmed glasses, the ancient microphone, and, of course the jazz.

Thanks Stuey.

Ondřej Havelka is a natural entertainer. (He's the one with specs). Even if you don't understand Czech, some of his Youtube videos (from TV shows in his home country, where he's a star) are still great fun for fans of early jazz/swing music.
Like that, Chris. Very cheery and the cool 20's look.

Thanks, Tony.

My musical tastes are very eclectic, so I tend to watch (and enjoy) quite a few unusual Youtube videos ;-)
I'm certainly going to look for more of those.
There's plenty on there, stuey.
Yes, I see that now, Tony...Great.
My gorgeous Dad had a pair of glasses just like Ondrej's - brought back lovely memories, thank you and please pass the tissues.

Thanks for your post, RSVP.

I seem to remember that those type of glasses were 'NHS issue' for kids back in the 1960s ;-)

Usually with a Pink sticking plaster covering one lense.

Fair enough, Jordyboy.

Here's one without the comedy element but, in my opinion, just as good anyway.

Thanks, Baldric. Slightly silly but fun anyway.

The music that it, not you! Oh, I don't know though . . .
;-)
Brilliant.
That is my swing music I love. Always enjoyed Temperance seven.Bonzo dog doo dah band, George Melley etc etc.
My art teacher ,when I was at school in 1963,claimed to be a member of the Temperance seven. A Mr Fox. He certainly drove me crazy.
Question Author
^^^ Yes, I remember those, Tony.

When I was told I had to wear specs (when I was about 11) I hated the idea of having to wear those NHS horn-rimmed specs but I was pleased to find out that the range of free specs available had improved quite a lot, so I could have black-framed ones. These days I quite fancy the idea of adopting the old 1920s style!
Yes Chris. Why not, very trendy.
Great jazz. He does a good job on the American accent.
Question Author
Thanks, RC.

I think that Mr Fox might have been telling porkies ;-)

However, if he was directing you towards some decent music, does it matter anyway?
I do believe that I'll part my hair in the middle before I jitter-bug across the field.
