....................John Denver got there first and never received any credit for what he did. He was helping famine victims in Africa in the 1970's, well before Band Aid. But his music was C&W and was considered cheesy. The music press used to slate his music but they always ended up saying that for some reason his concerts were always a sell-out. The Band Aid Boys couldn't invite someone as corny and cheesy as him could they? Nor could the Americans on We Are The World.

Have we got to suffer more dreadful interviews with Bob Geldof again?
Saint Bob was on the telly earlier, Hopkirk.
Yes, I half saw him.

He looked barely alive.

Does all that really matter if money is raised to help ?

Although I didn't enjoy the Boomtown Rats, or his 'singing' (can he sing?), I have to applaud him for one thing.

I believe he brought us The Big Breakfast on Channel 4.

I wish it was still going to give us some entertainment at breakfast time.
Yes Clarion. I'd forgotten that.
Not another BandAid, not another round of Geldof interviews. Please no !
Peaches Geldof was a journalist/model/presenter who died in tragic circumstances like her mother. That's why it's news.

I like Bob Geldof and yes, he can sing :-)
midge ure didn't get the praise bob geldof got like a knkghthood .
Band Aid re-forming......in which case I hope they do the following;

1 - DO NOT re-record 'Its Christmas Time' - just about one of the worst songs ever to see the light of day; whenever I hear it I want to shove acid tipped carrots into my ears.

2 - Use the money raised for UK issues.
Aren't they raising money to fight ebola?
Yeah, it's to help fight the ebola virus in Africa ummmm.

How can you dislike the original song? It's an all time classic!
But that must be beneficial to us as well.
Well yeah, but lets not let a little thing like that get in the way of the "charity begins at home" brigade ummmm ;-)
People who buy the record know what the money will be used for.
If you don't want to buy it,don't... it is that simple.
Sorry, won't happen again :-)
The Band Aid Boys couldn't invite John Denver because he died several years ago
Oops. Quite a stumbling block, Mrs.O.
"Nor could the Americans on We Are The World"

No because they already had Willie Nelson and Kenny Rogers, who happened to be ermmm, C&W singers

Oh dear
