I stopped in Blackpool Sat night and the following link shows a piccie of a sign that was in one of the toilets, in the B & B where we stopped:

I've got 2 interpretations of the sign, viz: no squatting on the toilet seat; or no diving off the toilet seat - neither of which make much sense.

Anyone care to join in the fun, trying to work out what message the landlord of the B & B was trying to get through ??

It means 'You really need to start booking into better quality B&Bs'

recycle only, no dumping
Were there any other odd signs or just this one?
It's 'no squatting', aimed at people from the subcontinent where squat toilets are in the majority.

Some Foreign folks Squat over a Hole, basically that sign says 'not here you don't!'

It was the only sign in the room - a bit strange if it does mean, "no squatting" - in a B & B in Blackpool .....
No Back-Flipping.

PMSL Zac - that's a contender for best answer lol :P
Oh, that's a bit disappointing - I thought maybe the landlord might have that s/he was a bit of a 'laugh'.

Can Blackpool not have Foreign Visitors then?
Our rats are friendly
I read somewhere that certain cultures do not sit when they defecate: they sort of squat over the container instead of sitting down. The sign is to indicate "No Standing On the Toilet Bowl".
Go on then Giz. I need the ratings. ;-)
no diving ?
This picture seems to confirm the above answers http://www.ottsworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/toilet-8.jpg
And No Splashing
a)Is it a bidet....although on second thoughts bidets in Blackpool don't go together.
b)Do not stand on the seat.
It's Blackpool so someone obviously erased the other guy perched behind him on the sign

I never meant that Baldric - I just meant that I didn't think it so much of a problem, to justify putting signs up .... if you catch my drift ??

OOh Joe - you're just a bit too late for "best answer".
