Yes Yilly, talcum powder, Used to spread a bit on the dance floor as the floor was usually pretty sticky. It used to help with sliding your feet.

Indeed I do - no longer there sadly, but t'was just down the road from me.

I think I may have typed a bit quickly before - I think this track was a Northern favourite. It is an area of music I love, but don't know much about. Being a rock fan in the early '70's, I missed the entire Northern scene - tragically - if only I could have my time over!

Does anyone know the second track with a clip - male vocal definitely Northern!

Hi Tilly - I used to DJ at the place in the late '70's - many a happy hour spent there!

I went to Tiffany's a couple of times, and saw a few bands there as well - the Real Thing in about 1977, and in the early 80's - The Thomson Twins, Pigbag, and others. i remember the Thomson Twins were four hours late, because they went to Newcastle-on-Tyne instead of Newcastle-under-Lyme - same first name, just about three hundred miles further north!

The building is still there, long since closed up, but someone is suupposed to be opening it up again as a club - we shall see.
