A rather old one (late sixties or early seventies, it sounded like Long John Baldry) with refrain something like "Sun's gonna shine through". Any idea?

Thanks VINNY100_2 and lindapinda; unfortunately, neither. I thought to include in my question that it's not The Walker Brothers, but here we are...Any other suggestion?

Is it Obsession's "On a Day like Today"?

Question Author
JinxtheCat: Well, the lyrics feels right, but frankly "Obsession" doesn't ring a bell. Is it a cover? I know for sure that the original was popular as said, in late sixties/early seventies. I'll give it a try. Thanks, anyway.

JinxtheCat: I've checked it. No, it's not "On a day like today"-one that I'm looking for, sounded "rougher". I really don't know how to clasify it. Let's say, one can say that it belonged to "pop", but with a subtle touch of a "rock ballad". Thanks again.

Well, I'm answering to myself and TWIMC-I was right: Long John Baldry (his 'commercial' turn): When The Sun Comes Shining Thru' (1968, recent release 1995-bonus track, album Let the heartaches begin/Wait for me), penned by Mike D'Abo.
