Great concert, but, what was the point of it? they say it was "to raise awarenes", but i really don't think the majority of people were there because of Africa, they were there for the music. I really don't understand how it's going to change anything.

Of course they were there for the music! That doesn't mean that they didn't take on board the message that was being promoted though. It's called sugaring the pill. 26.5 million people signed up to support Make Poverty History as a result of the concerts, so from an awareness raising perspective it has been an unqualified success. Whether the G8 can or will act upon the wishes of the people remains to be seen.
